Global Estate Planning and Immigration Services
If you have assets abroad or are married to a non-citizen, you need professional help to iron out the legal and tax implications when it comes to your Estate Plan. Immigration issues can have tax and estate planning implications, too.
At Cipparone & Zaccaro, PC, we coordinate global estate planning for families. Some of our U.S. clients have assets abroad, and we coordinate their estate planning with local counsel in those jurisdictions. Some of our clients are married to non-citizen spouses and need to know how U.S. estate tax laws affect transfers of property to their non-citizen spouse. We administer estates of non-U.S. residents who die owning property in the United States, with particular emphasis on property subject to probate and U.S. estate tax, including and the preparation and filing of U.S. and Connecticut estate tax returns.
In addition to international estate planning, we provide immigration services for our clients. Robert Kim Bingham, Sr., has 37 years of experience as an attorney for the Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service (1972-2003) and for the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (2003-2009). Kim is of counsel to the firm and limits his practice to federal immigration law. Kim assists clients with all aspects of US immigration law and assures clients find the US immigration visa suitable to their situation.
